Based on the data from the 2001 and 2006 Census of Population and Housing (Australian Bureau of Statistics), each map is prepared using Census Collector Districts providing the finest level of detail to help identify spatial patterns and trends in athe area. "Amidst the Turmoil; Beyond the Turmoil"
Robin Mcdonald (Joint Director of Reseach for the 'Hunter Valley Research Foundation') recently presented a talk to the Maitland Chamber of Business and Commerce. Robin spoke on the Global Financial Crisis, and its effect on our Region. Whilst the economic climate was challenging, research concluded that the Hunter and Maitland areas were fairing comparitively well, and were well placed to prosper 'beyond the turmoil'.
