Maitland Muster Festival

Welcome to the inaugural Maitland Muster Festival, which will be held in the open air Maitland Heritage Mall in the Maitland CBD on the beautiful HunterRiver.  In addition there will be 12 other venues in the Maitland CBD, all within easy walking distance.

Maitland is located in the HunterValley on the shores of the beautiful HunterRiver.  It is a city of rich history, including an extensive array of preserved buildings dating back to the early 1800’s.  The buildings are still occupied by commercial enterprises.  There will be the opportunity at the festival to participate in a guided walking history tour, as well as enjoy a horse and carriage ride, or a trip on the old London Double Decker Bus (with on board Blue Grass music).

The Heritage Mall will be the Festival Centre and will host all sorts of Country activities; such as boot scooting, sheep dog trials, wool, weaving and shearing demonstrations, as well as CWA cooking demonstrations.  There will also be an extensive range of Country music, both in the Mall and in nearby venues.

This is a unique event in a beautiful Heritage setting in the Hunter Valley of NSW, and will provide the opportunity to taste the fruits of the extensive range of wineries in the area.
